It has been quite a mission of mine recently… What you may ask? To make sure that people are well represented by their profile image/avatar on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Google +. Have you seen some of the images out there? Yes your profile picture is your first impression, I am talking about online social media. As they say a picture is the expression of an impression. Our avatars are just like our costumes, rather the first impression that you have of the character before they read up your tweets or go ahead to open up your business website or blog.
If I had a pound for everyone who said to me “I hate having my photo taken” then I would be very rich indeed! But I do care how people are feeling. To be in front of the camera you have to have so much trust in the person who has their finger on the shutter button in order to believe that they will do their very best. Many of the people that I see are women and I have had to show them that yes they are lovely! It is all about light and position to get the very best out of them.
